Since XXXX, I have lived at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. in XXXX, Louisiana. In XXXX, I used Rocket Mortgage to refinance that residence. I had my monthly payments on autopay and had no issues. Bills were paid on time. In XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX destroyed that residence. I used Rocket mortgage to borrow money for an apartment in XX/XX/XXXX. When i asked to set up the monthly mortgage payment on autopay, Rocket Mortgage said that I could not pay the first month ' s note on autopay, but would have to wait till I received the the bill then pay with a check. Since I was changing addresses and recovering from the loss of my home, i am not sure when or where that bill was sent to me. Once notified, I paid the bill then enrolled in autopay through my bank. The bill has been paid regularly since. This resulted in a ding to my credit score which I feel is not fair. Had I been allowed to enroll in autopay initially, this would have never happened. Now my credit score is low as a result. I am told by Rocket mortgage that nothing can be done to rectify this except waiting many months or years for my credit rating to slowly correct itself. I am seeking assistance on this matter. The only other dings on my credit history happened several years ago when I went through a divorce and my ex wife had credit card charges that went unpaid for some time.
