I canceled my XXXX account in XXXX XXXX acknowledged that they had previously overcharged, said they closed my account, and would send me a check for the credit. Instead, XXXX did not cancel the account, continued to bill me, used up the credit, then started charging me. I made several attempts to cancel, but XXXX continued. Finally an agent found XXXX XXXX, requested a refund, said she canceled the account. However, I continue to be billed, my account was not canceled, and XXXX refuted my refund requests to Citi. Citi accepted XXXX refute and charges my account. Citi did the same thing to a previous cancelations of my XXXX account, in spite of my sending documentation from the provider that I canceled my account. I think Citi defaults to denials in favor of the merchant so Citi retains commissions.
