Consumer Narrative

In early XX/XX/2022, I was alerted to potential fraud on my Citibank credit card. I placed a call to customer service and advised that I had received both a text and email. The representative I spoke with advised there had been a {$3000.00} transaction via a Citibank issued balance transfer check. This was fraudulent as I made no such transaction. I believe my mail was stolen and someone used a check that had been sent to me. The representative advised that I would receive a letter in the mail with further instructions. He also closed my card and reissued a card with a new number. I received the new card, however, I did not activate it. I never received a letter. In late XX/XX/2022, I was alerted to potential fraud via email. I again called Citibank and also checked my online account. Another check had been written on my account in the amount of {$1000.00}. I attempted to resolve and get an understanding of my fraud dispute, however I was told the representative could not access my account because it was locked and they would send me a letter with a code to unlock it. I received the letter over a week later in early XXXX. I called the fraud number within the letter and provided the code. I also went to my online account and saw that I had been charged an additional XXXX in transfer check fees. Total now is XXXX fraudulent charges. I was transferred to XXXX different representatives, and neither could tell me the status of my fraud dispute. I asked that I receive an update as soon as possible as my credit score was being impacted by the high spend ratio on my account. I was told I would receive a letter and am waiting, however I am not hopeful anyone at Citibank is taking any action. I also asked that my account was noted OPT OUT of any transfer checks by mail or otherwise. I was transferred to a third representative that assured me I was now opted out. I logged into my online account today and noted I am being offered an increase to my spend capability. I also noted that my account shows no disputes registered! " You havent reported any fraud on your account. '' This back and forth has been going on for over 45 days and XXXX telephone calls to Citibank with no resolution. I need my fraud case investigated and fraudulent charges removed from my account.
