The account was transferred to a collection agency over 7 years ago, but the collection agency changes the date to keep the account active on my credit report. The account was a charge card for XXXX XXXX and the charges were added because I disputed a fee charged to me when the payment was made on the due date. I did not pay the fee, therefore late fees were added every month until it reached {$370.00}. I refuse to pay the amount and have discussed this with the collection agency. These fees are all charged because I disputed a late fee charge which they should have corrected. I am tired of this item being on my credit report and would like to have it removed immediately because I do not owe it and it has remained negatively on my account for over 7 years.
