XX/XX/22 I had logged into my Home Depot XXXX XXXX account for a purchase. Home Depot promoted their pro account revolving card. I do no own a business. I was looking for a credit card for myself and thought just because I had a pro rewards it wouldnt be commercial. I followed to application process and got the approval. After the approval I realized I was in the wrong card and contacted Home Depot within 3 business days. I contacted Home Depot to inform them of the mistake and speak with their credit department and discovered this was in fact a commercial credit card. I requested they change the card to a pro rewards consumer card however that did not seem to be an option. After speaking with representatives I decided I may be able to use this card. However the credit limit I received was only {$1000.00}. I requested for a credit limit increase that would be more suitable. I spoke with several representative from Citi to determine how I was only approved for {$1000.00} I have a XXXX credit score / making {$100000.00} year. They indicated the credit application asks average monthly Home Depot Spending I input {$1000.00}. The credit resolution representative advised me thats the language they use to imply requested credit limit Once I found out I was mislead and the credit application was worded I got angry and asked how I can get out of the credit card. I was told other than closing the card there was no way. This would negatively impact my credit score/credit report for an all around terrible experience being mislead and misrepresented by Home Depot and XXXX
