Consumer Narrative
I contacted the fraud department at US Bank, told them I believed I was the victim of identity theft. They confirmed someone had used my social security number to apply for for a credit card, but had no one available to help me and were not able to post anything that the card was fraudulent. I would have to call back when application services was open. According to their website you are to contact them immediately if you believe you are the victim of identity theft, but they then have no one available to help.
