I moved out of a property in 2018, I paid 1st months rent, last months rent and security ( equal to 1 months rent ) when I initially moved in. I moved out before the end of my last month and never got the pro rated amount for last months rent or security deposit back which was fine, the property was cleaned professionally before I left and was in good shape, then I see on my credit report that I owe this property over {$12000.00} which equates to approximately 5 months rent! I have reached out to this property and have told them this is an egregious act and I absolutely do not owe anything to this property and demand they remove this from my credit report and they have been flagrantly unresponsive! Please help as I have a wife and XXXX XXXX XXXX daughter and this collection on my credit is preventing me from leasing a home in a decent area! I lose sleep over this every night!
