There are numerous debts to my checking account with Chase that are unauthorized, spanning a period of approximately 60 days. All charges are listed as a POS transaction with XXXX. They total approximately {$1200.00}. I called Chase to immediately cancel or lock my debit card when I noticed these fraudulent transactions, and the customer service rep refused to do so, indicating my card was not likely compromised. I told her I did not care if that was her opinion, that for my own protection, I wanted a new card issued immediately. Again she refused to do so, stating that whoever had hacked my account would also have access to the new card number generated. She directed me to call XXXX instead and handle the problem with them. When I called XXXX, they were able to identify the transactions as fraudulent, and being associated with XXXX XXXX. They said they would reverse the charges but that it could take up to 30 days to receive a refund. I couldnt believe Chase would do nothing to secure my account with them. Additionally, they never once advised they have any requirement to refund the charges identified as fraudulent. The charges are sometimes up to 14 different transactions in one day. They vary in amounts From {$20.00} to a few hundred dollars each. Im astonished that Im left to do nothing but watch money fly out of my account and hope I didnt really need it.
