I reach out to Wakefield and Associates multiple times to attempt to get proof of the debt they have reported to my credit report. The company will not respond to emails about this debt. I called the collection agency on XX/XX/2022 to attempt to get proof of the debt. I was told I would get an itemized statement within 2-3 weeks. I called the collection agency again on XX/XX/2022 to request the itemized statement and proof of claim for a debt they are saying that I owe. I recorded this phone call with their representative and I was told at this point they do not provide proof of debt. I was told over the phone the debt is valid and I have to pay it. I waited again and made another phone call on XX/XX/2022 to attempt to get proof of the debt once again. The representative I spoke with at this time told me I have to send an email to XXXX which I sent an email at this time again attempting to verify a debt they say is mine. Today is XX/XX/2022 and I have still not received a itemized statement after requesting well over 30 days ago. The debt is still reported to 3 major credit bureaus. I would like this debt removed as they will not provide me any proof of claim.
