On or about XX/XX/2022, I received an alert regarding my credit file. After reviewing the alert, I realized that Macy 's report a 30 late payment on my credit file, which reduced my credit score by XXXX points. I contacted Macy 's to find out the reason why they reported a 30 late payment on my credit, and I was told that I missed a payment. In the pasted 7 years I've always have auto pay that way if I were to forget to pay my bill the auto pay would illuminate those issues. In the past 7 years I have never had a 30-day late payment on my Macy 's account. Macy 's removed my auto pay and claim that they try to initiate a payment from my bank, and it did not go through. I contacted my bank with a Macy 's representative on a 3-way call and the bank representative told Macys that the account had sufficient funds to cover the amount they try to withdraw. Clearly Macy 's made an error with their process, or they deliberately did that to ruin my credit file. I am requesting Macy 's to notify all 3 credit bureaus and notify them to remove the negative remarks from my credit file immediately. Macy 's credit department did not notify me that they tried to initiate a withdrawal from my checking account on file. Macy 's credit department did not notify me that I was falling behind 30 days. Macy 's did notify me that they removed the auto pay from my credit file. Had Macy 's followed their company 's policy, this incident would not have happened. I am in the process of closing on a new home in less that 45 days and with this negative report on my credit file, it will prevent me from closing. This will prevent tm from getting a mortage. This matter needs to get resolve immediately without any further delays.
