I have ( for at least 5 years ) an excellent credit score with XXXX, XXXX etc. that is in the mid- to high XXXX XXXX. I have never applied for credit, and been denied. I recently applied for credit with XXXX, whose credit partner is JP Morgan Chase bank. I was denied - and told the reason I was denied credit was due to past debt with JP Morgan, Chase bank. NOTE - In XXXX I defaulted on a chase issued credit card. - Are they able to retain and use this in assessing my credit risk since this is from XXXX? < -- -- note this is NOT on my XXXX, XXXX, etc credit reports
