Description of Problem : This lender has charged of my credit card account even though they have written this amount off on their taxes. This lender is trying to obtain money that they have already wrote off as an gross income on their annual tax return to the IRS. Gross Income should not be reported on my consumer report. The IRS defines a charge off or canceled debt as gross income. They are criminally and civilly liable for trying to attempt to collect money from me that they have already reported to the federal government as an income. Also, according to IRS I Submit Pagewas supposed to receive a XXXX C from and never received aXXXX C form from the lender since the amount of debt canceled was over {$600.00}. Description of Problem : Amount Owed : {$3200.00} Date : Violations Broken : 15 USC Code 1681 s2 : Responsibilities of furnishers of information to consumer reporting agencies ( a ) Duty of furnishers of information to provide accurate information ( 1 ) Prohibition ( A ) Reporting information with actual knowledge of errors A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate.
