I participated in the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX by leasing a XXXX XXXX back in XXXX. The XXXX XXXX XXXX was then sold to XXXX in XXXX and I returned the leased vehicle to XXXX in XXXX of XXXX. I never received any notifications from XXXX regarding any outstanding amounts that were owed on the lease. More than 2 years after I returned the vehicle, the portfolio was again sold to Rock Creek Capital , LLC. Rock Creek apparently decided that I still owed {$400.00} on the lease ; however, I never received any correspondence from them regarding this amount. The balance was then apparently forwarded to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Again, I never received any phone calls or correspondence from XXXX regarding the " amount owed '' and then I received a negative mark on my credit report due to this balance. I would like this negative remark removed from my credit report. I never received any emails from them either ( I confirmed they had a correct email ). I contacted XXXX to remove the negative mark and they refused because they claimed they had attempted to contact me. However, they had outdated address information due to the lease portfolio being from nearly 3 years ago. I even have a friend still living at my old address who confirmed they never sent me any notices. They had my SSN so I am 100 % confident XXXX could've obtained my correct address and contact information if any effort was put into that at all. This is a predatory company working with another predatory company. I would like to request again, through this complaint, that the negative mark be removed from my credit report.
