Consumer Narrative
The response provided by USbank is NOT accurate... again. There must be some kind of misunderstanding here. I have attached the letter that they provided with their response and highlighted key statements. The red highlighted text identifies the inaccurate statement and is copied below. USbank red quote : " This balance transfer is the oldest balance on your account and is where your payments are being applied currently. '' -This is painfully untrue. The XXXX XXXX balance transfer identified in the letter for {$6400.00} is NOT the oldest 0 % balance. The OLDEST 0 % balance is the purchases balance of {$750.00}. Hence why the promotion on the {$750.00} balance ends almost a year sooner! The yellow highlighted text is USbank 's acknowledgment that all of my accounts are 0 %. Therefore, all future and past payments should have been applied to the OLDEST balance first ( {$750.00} ) until it reached ZERO $ . USbank yellow quote : " As explained in our previous response, for balances with the same Annual Percentage Rate ( APR ), payments will be applied to the oldest balances first. As all of your balances are currently at a 0 % APR, this is the rule that pertains to your account currently. '' - The " rule '' mentioned in this quote should in fact pertain to my account, but that has not been the case. In fact, this statement describes EXACTLY what I am trying to resolve. So again, why are my payments NOT being applied to the OLDER 0 % balance of {$750.00}? The quote above clearly states that they should be!
