I called Chase credit card customer support on Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX to request a refund for a round-trip airline ticket from XXXX to XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2022 returning XX/XX/2022 ) in the form of points. I was told I could refund my airline ticket for points and the representative then proceeded with the refund. When I called Chase credit card customer support on Wednesday, XX/XX/XXXX to check the status of the refund I was told the ticket is not eligible for a refund and it was instead processed as a cancellation without a refund by the representative on the XXXX. The representative on the XXXX then checked the recording of my conversation with the representative on the XXXX to confirm whether it was communicated to me that the ticket was eligible for a refund. The representative on the XXXX confirmed that the representative on the XXXX told me it was eligible for a refund and the they would call me back. I never received a call back. I then wrote a formal compliant through my online Chase account describing the incident above and requesting the refund I was told I would receive. I received an electronic response on XX/XX/XXXX in the form of a letter ( attached pdf ) that stated " we could not locate the transaction information you requested '' and " we have closed your request. '' Chase appears to have a record of this incident because they are able to retrieve it's history when I call them. This includes the ability to retrieve recorded conversations of their representative confirming the eligibility of and processing my refund. Chase is not only failing to acknowledge misrepresentations made by their representative, but they are also failing to process my refund, they cancelled a ticket worth hundreds of dollars without my permission, and they are now claiming to not have any knowledge of the incident.
