I had a credit card with Citi ( account ending in XXXX ) that opened in XXXX. The date of last transaction was XXXX. I received a phone call on my cell phone and at my job from a company that identified themselves as dispute resolution center on XX/XX/XXXX. They asked that I call XXXX in reference to file # XXXX. They stated they were going to contact XXXX XXXX ( where I live ) if I did not respond. I called the # and they had my name and date of birth. I asked why they were making veiled threats about suit or inferring the county government may get involved in a debt that is so old. The statute of limitations is long expired. I also asked when they received consent from my to contact my cell #. They stated they did not need consent. When I asked what their mailing address was I was hung up on. I called back and asked another person for their business address and again was hung up on. I called A third time and it went to voicemail. I know my rights under the FDCPA, especially as it relates to third party debt collectors which I presume is what this company is. I demand restitution under FDCPA and TCPA and I demand to never be contacted about this again.
