The following is a recapitulation of the events beginning XX/XX/2022 with reference to the fraudulent checks processed through Chase Bank. XX/XX/XXXX - Four checks were processed and immediately recognized as checks we had not produced. The check numbers were numbers we have never ordered and the style of the check while similar was slightly different in format. The amounts written out were in all capital letters which we never use and when viewing these checks we saw the payees were not our employees or vendors. We immediately contacted our personal banker at our branch bank in XXXX XXXX, Florida and followed every instruction and procedure given to us. XX/XX/XXXX - 10 more checks were paid and again we notified the branch. XX/XX/XXXX thru XX/XX/XXXX - 18 more checks were cashed and withdrawn from our account. At this point the fraud totaled {$32000.00}. XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX - Five of the checks processed in XXXX were redeposited into our account and we thought this nightmare was coming to an end. XX/XX/XXXX we, as told by your staff, submitted the Unauthorized Signature or Forged Item Declaration with the dates and amounts of the first {>= $1,000,000} and assumed that from that point forward all the funds wrongly taken would be replaced and the travesty would stop. However : XXXX continued to be a fluctuation between checks being paid to the criminals and funds being returned to our account but the net effect was that we were still short {$33000.00}. Not an appreciable net gain. XX/XX/XXXX - All funds except the first {$16000.00} from XXXX had been returned. BUT On XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX the funds that had been given back to our account were taken from us AGAIN. The total amount we are expecting to be returned to us is {$37000.00}
