Consumer Narrative
This is my second complaint about this matter ; NOT A DUPLICATE! I was denied my own credit from JP MORGAN CHASE BANK for the CHASE FREEDOM card on XX/XX/XXXX. This is a violation of 15 USC 1691 ( a ) ( 3 ) of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act under 15 USC Chapter 41. The Equal Credit Opportunity Act was put in place by the federal government to stop creditors from discrimination in a determination of credit-worthiness. Denying me my OWN credit is discrimination and unlawful. I filed my first CFPB complaint on XX/XX/XXXX ( case # XXXX ). I was contacted by XXXX XXXX ( ext. XXXX XXXX XXXX ), of the executive office, the very next day kindly saying he was going to look into the matter and get back to me. I never heard back from him. I received a response to the first CFPB complaint on XX/XX/XXXX informing me that JP MORGAN CHASE BANK denied me AGAIN. I tried calling XXXX XXXX back since he kindly left me his direct line. I have called multiple times, leaving multiple messages and he has not returned any of my calls. ( I am still open to have a conversation with him. ) In all, there is NO reason pursuant to federal law that gives them permissible purpose to deny me my OWN credit. These denials have caused my life mental and emotional stress. JP MORGAN CHASE BANK has violated my federally protected rights under 15 USC Chapter 41.
