I previously disputed an erroneous charge from XXXX XXXX on Date XX/XX/XXXX {$1000.00}. I provided documentation from the merchant stating they would correct these massive billing errors made by mistake. Citi failed to provide documentation from the merchant and only sent letters stating the following : We previously credited your account for this charge. The merchant will not honor our request for credit based on the information you provided us. Every effort has been made to secure credit for your account. Since we are unable to obtain compensation from the merchant, your account has been rebilled. This is not the process outlined in the XXXX dispute resolution guide. Especially since I provided ample documentation from the merchant including one of their vice presidents apologizing for the error. Yet, no valid reason for the charge was provided by CITI, nor were any merchant responses. CITI claims they provided a merchant response at one point, but that letter does not show up in the center of my document as I am set up for paperless documents. I notified CITI of the errors in not receiving documents, provided screenshots showing the documents in my account as they stated. Citi in turn opened up a trouble ticket and letters began to start being available from that moment forward. To date, I still have yet to receive any other documentation from CITI regarding this charge, with the exception of a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, which was a debit/credit audit that states the details of the audit are attached. However, there is no attachment. The letter further makes the claim that from the XX/XX/XXXX statement through XX/XX/XXXX statement my card was only billed {$480.00}. This is a clear error as the running ledger for this period shows total charges of {$16000.00} and total credits of {$4800.00}, with a total billed amount of {$12000.00}. This represents an overbilling of {$11000.00} from this merchant based off the results of the audit CITI claims.
