Consumer Narrative
XXXX my bank account with citibank was hacked. Fraudlent XXXX transactions wiped my bank account clean totaling {$1300.00}. I notified the bank immediately. They told me they would " investigate '' the transactions and it would take 10 days. 10 days later I was given a temporary credit for the full amount and a notice saying a full investigation took 45 days. They wanted more information from me. This was some form of " spoofing '' but i did NOT give any personal information. The spoofer already had all of it. I truly think the hack went through the app on my phone. Citibank said they were going to withdraw the full amount back out XXXX based on their investigation which they did with NO explanation how this was my fault.
