In XX/XX/2021, my 1-year-old mortgage was transferred to Carrington Mortgage Services , LLC . The transfer was problematic for many reasons : they transferred the day before my automatic payment posted, and I did not receive the notice of transfer until after that date, which resulted in non-payment. Additionally, there have been a couple of fees for various charges posted to my new account that Carrington claims are from the transfer ; however, there were no fees on my previous mortgage. When I have tried to resolve the issue, they will not remove the errant fee without a written dispute. They are trying to collect the fees via my mortgage payment. I have already spent hours trying to resolve the issue and don't feel I should have to provide a written dispute for them to remove the fee. I feel that Carrington is attempting to defraud me of the amount of the fees by making it difficult for me to dispute the charges, and because the amount is relatively small, hoping I will just pay the fee.
