I received a notice of property taxes due on XX/XX/XXXX for {$3500.00}. I logged into my online account and noted a property tax payment by my mortgage company, Rocket Mortgage, was not scheduled until XXXX of XXXX. I called Rocket Mortgage on XX/XX/XXXX to ask about how the payment I was being billed for would get handled. At that time I was told to await a call in XX/XX/XXXX hours. I never received a call. In light of the approach due date for the tax payment I continued to call and was advised to await a call from them. On Friday XX/XX/XXXX. I called again and was advised that I would definitely receive a call, today XX/XX/XXXX. Having not received a call by XXXX AM I called once again. It was at this time I was told that Rocket Mortgage was not going to make this payment from my escrow and that its responsible for it. I explained that my escrow balance was over {$9000.00} and that I didnt understand. The XXXX advised once again that I would receive a call by the tax department either yet today or tomorrow, XX/XX/XXXX, a day after the tax is due. Non-payment of a legitimate tax obligation from my escrow is absolutely unreasonable.
