I contacted credit bureaus and also Portfolio in both XXXX and XXXX disputing a debt that appeared on my credit report. I asked for validation of the debt, because I believe it to be identity theft. I lived with a woman in XXXX that had access to my mail and could have lent to any charges. I already had illegal accounts made by XXXX XXXX as well, with XXXX. I received notices from Portfolio without any proof of ownership, including statements, original ownership of account information, contracts, etc. I have gone through this multiple times now, and they refuse to delete from the credit reports.
