An unknown persons name was added to my credit card account without my authorization. The credit card company stated this person had requested power of attorney over my account. They were able to put their name on my account as an authorized user by submitting legal paperwork to obtain XXXX. I never knew this name addition and request for XXXX until I received a letter from the credit card company requesting the address and birthdate of person requesting XXXX to complete the application. After speaking with credit card company they said this name addition and XXXX was accomplished through legal paperwork the person submitted.at this time I closed the account, spoke to the cc fraud department and filed a police report. This letter was dated XX/XX/2022 and I received it on XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX was when I called cc company to report and discuss this fraud.
