This is regarding a previously report incident XXXX. In short, Chase Slate rejected their initial resolution after sending confirmation, claimed I refused and rejected the resolution by closing my account. About 2 weeks after I received a resolution letter stating the balance transfer would be reinstated with the promotional APR, my transaction was suspiciously " rejected '' by the payer. I called my the other bank, who confirmed that the transfer was rejected by Chase. My initial balance transfer was returned along with the fees and payments, for the exception of one of the interest fees that was incorrectly charged to my account. My now closed account sits at a negative balance ( that I am transferring out to a checking account ) short of the incorrect interest fee that was charged and never refunded as the previous CFPB incident resolution claimed. The lack of competence among the customer service and issue resolution teams is astounding. Do not use Chase Slate - their teams can not do basic accounting.
