I applied for an FHA mortgage loan with Rocket Mortgage and submitted all of the documents they requested to get pre-approved. In return I was given a " Verified Approval Letter that stated the following : This is your official Verified Approval, backed by Rocket Mortgage. This Verified Approval is proof that your income, assets and credit score have been fully confirmed by our underwriters, giving you our most accurate evaluation of what you can afford. Since we have verified your information, you can be confident well close your loan. In fact, were so certain youll make it to closing, well pay you {$1000.00} if you dont.. Literally days before closing I was told my application was got denied and my loan did not close and I lost the house I was going to purchase because of it. The denial letter stated that my loan was denied due to unverifiable information and credit history??? Their verified approval is subject to Rocket Mortgage reviewing my credit history and verifying all necessary information so why did they give me Verified Approval Letter if they didn't verify everything and review my credit report? I spoke to XXXX XXXX and told her I wanted the {$1000.00} I am entitled to if my loan did not make it to closing as written on my " Verified Approval Letter and she said I was not eligible to receive it. Why? I did everything I was supposed to do on my end only to end up losing the home I planned on purchasing because Rocket Mortgage failed to do everything they needed to do on their end BEFORE giving me " Verified Approval '' Letter.
