On XX/XX/2022, I, XXXX XXXX, applied for and was approved for the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX card, issued by Synchrony Bank. I received written approvals not only on Synchrony 's website, but in an email sent directly to me as well. Both stated that I would be receiving my card in XXXX business days. Furthermore, I was provided with a XXXX reference number that was supposed to enable me to shop online at XXXX immediately while waiting for my card to arrive in the mail. However, upon entering the reference number, I repeatedly was unable to place my order. I spent hours on the phone with XXXX, who referred me to Synchrony. Synchrony stated that my application had been denied. I strongly protested, and advised that I had received XXXX written approvals, a XXXX reference number enabling me to shop, and was told my card would be arriving in XXXX business days. How could all that happen if I had been denied? I posed that question to Synchrony, and they refused to answer and just kept saying that my application was denied. I insisted there had to be some mistake or oversight, and even offered to forward them my approval email. They were extremely rude and hostile throughout, and actually said that they don't have any email addresses that I could send my approval to. I guess they don't use email. Synchrony has been disingenuous and deceptive, and this is egregiously unjust. A credit card company should not be able to advise me not once but TWICE that I was approved for one of their products, then tell me to expect it in the mail, and then offer me a way to use my card online before it arrives, only to turn around and say nope you're denied we're not sending it to you, and we refuse to even acknowledge your question about why you received XXXX written approvals if you had been denied. I never would have even applied for this card if I knew this was going to happen.
