When my XXXX and I visited XXXX XXXX in XXXX, PA, we did the tour, he took all the tests, we submitted all the applications for tuition assistance, etc. We were told before we left that day that he qualified for FULL TUITION scholarship. We were also told that he would be given a job while he was attending school so he would have money for living expenses. We WERE TOLD that they had food vouchers for the students- which turned out to be a complete lie. The " job '' they gave him was to sit by a phone and wait for it to ring. He has high XXXX and needs to keep active. They knew I lived XXXX hours from campus, was a single parent barely holding it together financially. An incident occurred at the dorm where a student was XXXX and vandalized a fire extinguisher which in turn summoned the fire department. My XXXX was trying to stop the drunk student and got blamed for the incident and evicted from the dorm. This was XXXX MONTH prior to graduation. He was permitted to continue classes, but had nowhere to live in the meantime. I was told I could appeal the eviction, which I did- but was told it was too late. They didn't fax me the proper paperwork timely and I faxed back the required information within minutes after I received it. XXXX months later I get a bill from XXXX XXXX that I OWE THEM over {$25000.00}! I have told this story probably XXXX times to different organizations and NOT XXXX person has done anything about it. It's been XXXX years now and I am still struggling to pay the loans that WE WOULD NEVER have agreed to in the first place. The school is closed now and my son has a " Certificate '' and does not work in his field of study. He's a maintenance person for the most part and has learned some other on-the-job skills that are worth more than a certificate from a dishonest school. The person we spoke to the day we toured and registered has NEVER EVER returned my call. I know this is years ago, but every single time I see how much money I owe for something that we were scammed out of, it makes me really, really, really mad.
