Consumer Narrative

Around XXXX of XXXX I entered into a mortgage forbearance plan with US Bank due to a decrease in income related to XXXX. When my forbearance plan ended last year, US Bank offered me a loan modification. After submitting the notarized loan modification forms to them several times, each time they returned the papers with vague reasons why they were unable to accept them. Finally, they said that too much time had passed and I would need to reapply for mortgage assistance, which I did. After several weeks they again sent out loan modification paperwork which I then took to XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX to be notarized. Per tracking information from XXXX, these papers were received on XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I received another packet from US Bank with a letter stating that they could not accept my paperwork and new loan modification paperwork to complete by XX/XX/XXXX. Today at XXXX XXXX my wife and I called US Bank to speak with a loan modification employee regarding why they could not accept the papers that were sent to them ( yet again ). The employee named " XXXX '' ( unsure if spelled exactly correct ) stated that it was either due to the notary not signing a paper, or that I signed in print ( I am unable to sign in cursive ). He was unable or unwilling to tell me what paper the notary did not sign correctly, and also stated that the loan modification forms MUST be signed in cursive even though I do not know how to write in cursive, and my initial mortgage papers were signed in print without an issue. At this point I am VERY concerned that I may lose my home to foreclosure due to the constant refusal of US Bank to accept notarized paperwork. Every time the papers are submitted, there are different excuses why they are unable to accept them. Please help!
