Hello my name is XXXX XXXX, I am writing today to place a complete complaint against XXXX in the depart of XXXX gift card. My complaint is in detail below. Today my family received a XXXX gift card of XXXX dollars value from our case worker at the homeless shelter .I activated the card proceeded to take my family to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Texas XXXX at XXXX pm me and my family arrived at the restaurant and placed our order when then the card was declined. We double checked with the card balance and the activation everything was in place .We contacted customer service support and spoke to supervisor Tony with the employee ID # XXXX at XXXX. He proceeded to tell us that XXXX blocked the transaction due to fraudulent activity. There was nothing they could do to assist in the situation but send us out a new card with in 15- 20 days ..We stressed the severity of the situation many times and then the Supervisor XXXX went in to attempt to handle the situation but could not due to that is just how the system works ..As my family became extremely distressed with the situation of not being able to eat at the restaurant we resolved the issue with the restaurant with the order placed. Then went on to head back to the XXXX XXXX where we reside XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX center XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, TX XXXX where we missed meal call was not able to obtain any other means of food for my family at that time or we would not have been able to get back into the center to sleep passed curfew.. Leaving a family that has two children who are already currently facing many other issues at this time to have to go to bed hungry.. This use can not simply be resolved with just another card due to there is no address to mail the card to our family and in the current state of our families living situation among our children and all this has been nothing but a critical situation that has taken a toll on everyone emotionally at this time.. Me being the mother of this family already suffering for a severe XXXX this has brought me to an extreme place of distress as I lay down tonight. I would like to file this complaint to the fullest extent due to the following The fraudulent activity hold was improperly imposed and took a toll on myself and my family in a major way. Leaving me hungry and very upset beyond what one can take at this time. The shame and embarrassment that our family had to endure due to this improper imposed fraudulent activity hold without first consulting with the card holder.. Thank you for your time..
