On XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX XXXX to correct the account number on my XXXX XXXX as the account number they had was a closed account it had just been closed. I spoke with a rep who assured me everything was updated and my Schedule payment for XXXX would go through the new account and XXXX auto payment would come out of the correct account. This was never done they continued to try to make payments from the incorrect account. I called XXXX XXXX at least XXXX times about this issue. I even scheduled my own payments from the correct account since they did not seem to be able to remove the closed account. They then refunded the late fee they charged because it was their mistake and the next day without notice they closed my account and said it was because I tried to make a payment with a closed account. I never tried to make a payment with a closed account and called them over and over again with the correct account number for my payments. On XX/XX/XXXX I called for the XXXX time and I spoke with Supervisor XXXX who said they had to pull the call and if they hear that I was asking the account number to be changed they may reinstate my card. The card should have never been closed especially after I called them back every time they called me telling them they were using an incorrect account number and the continuously told me the account was update while they continued to try and take payments from a closed account.
