Consumer Narrative

I had a charge for {$89.00} on my account from XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. It is an online supplement retailer/multi level marketing company. The charge was on XX/XX/21 or XX/XX/21. I immediately called Chase and told them this was fraud. They cancelled my card and left me without a card right before XXXX. Would I claim fraud right before XXXX? Am I worried about {$89.00} that is on my card when I spent over {$69000.00} last year on this card. It was clearly fraud. At the same time, they asked if there were any other charges that I did not recognize. I also disputed an XXXX charge that I did not recognize or have a receipt for in the amount of XXXX. After XXXX, I contacted XXXX to find out that the receipt they provided me had been updated upon shipment to reflect a different tax rate as well as a gift card as partial payment. THIS DID NOT MATCH MY RECEIPT PROVIDED BY XXXX, but it was my charge. I did not dispute this charge further after speaking with XXXX. Chase sent me a letter on XXXX saying I received value for the charges and they were being re-billed. I disputed them again. I talked to XXXX, but I did not get any answers from XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX. I did try to reach them. On XXXX, I received another letter saying the charges were being re-billed to me. I called Chase again. I told them no way that XXXX XXXX XXXX was my charge, and that I would take the XXXX charge. They told me I would have to prove that it wasn't my charge. HOW CAN I PROVE SOMETHING IS NOT MINE IF I NEVER GOT ANYTHING??? I asked for a supervisor. He told me as a courtesy, he would give me back the {$89.00}, but that XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX had said it was a valid charge for a trial and he thinks it was real. That was insulting. I did not have anything to do with XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. On XXXX, I called XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. They did not have my name or phone number on file and found no account on file for me, so they could not tell me where the shipment went that charged {$89.00} to my credit card. Is this ironic? They do not have me as a customer, yet are claiming that the {$89.00} charge is valid. Acoording to my conversation with a manager in the Chase fraud department this morning, I signed up for a trial subscription. How could I sign up if I am not in their system? The {$89.00} is for a one time shipment as clearly stated on their website. IT IS NOT A TRIAL LIKE CHASE TRIED TO TELL ME. And for the record, I am in their system as of this morning with my name and phone number because the SCAMMERS wouldn't even speak to me without giving them my name. CHASE SHOWED BLATANT DISREGARD FOR ANY FACTS AND PUT THE BURDEN ON ME TO PROVE I DIDN'T MAKE A CHARGE WHICH IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE WHEN I DIDN'T MAKE A CHARGE. I have read many other cases where they are doing the same thing to others. This is not an acceptable practice.
