Following up on CFPD complaint # XXXX. Synchronys activity since the filing of that complaint has been even more problematic. They took the arbitrary number of {$1700.00} off of the balance. That leaves the new number at {$6800.00}. I purchased the {$9500.00} 24-month no-interest installment plan on 1/25/2021, therefore now that were over half-way through those 24 months, the balance is supposed to be below {$4700.00} at this point, not above. The company said in their response Further, your Card Security was canceled on XX/XX/XXXX. Clearly not the case. Look on the first page of the attached PDF : They charged for Card Security on XX/XX/XXXX. With the same phone number that this page https : XXXX revealed is a scam based in XXXX issue Synchrony neglected to address the first time I reported it. The Account Details ( page 4 of attached PDF ) has two red flags : Total Fees Charged YTD - $ XXXX have I ever done that warranted even a penny in fees, let alone 15 % of the loan amount? Total Interest Charged YTD - $ XXXX entered into an explicitly interest-free loan. Before submitting my previous complaint to CFPD, I notified XXXX XXXX about my concerns. After the CFPD complaint was submitted, XXXX XXXX investigation concluded that Synchrony is a scamsee page 7 of attached PDF. This is not to be taken lightly by the CFPD. XXXX XXXX protected my safety by issuing a stop payment. I told Synchrony the fact that XXXX XXXX will not allow me to transfer money to them after the conclusion of the investigation, therefore Synchrony needs to communicate with XXXX XXXX about it and not with me. Despite being informed of this, XXXX has harassed me with a constant stream of phone calls, emails, and paper letters. Not just coming from one place, but some from XXXX UT, some from XXXX TX, some from XXXX FL, some from XXXX XXXX FL, some from XXXX CT, and some from XXXX PA, despite this page https : //www.bankbranchlocator.com/synchrony-bank/ stating The bank does not have any offices outside Utah. Appears that theyve put debt collectors on the case to intimidate me, despite having informed them that this is out of my control. They also lowered my credit line right after I filed a complaint with CFPD, presumably as retaliation.
