In XXXX I was in an XXXX relationship, I left the property in question and informed the manager of my situation. 2 days after leaving, a man whose wife was having an affair with my ex caused damage to the apartment. I spoke with a lawyer who claimed he was representing the apartment complex. Explained the situation and was told my name would be removed from the issue. Never heard anything again about it. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a notice in the mail from Kings Credit Services. This notice simply stated the amount and " Re : XXXX XXXX and various others '' along with the debt amount, debt collection agency 's name, address and phone number. There was a important consumer information disclaimer stating that it was an attempt to collect a debt. There was no information on my rights, or how to dispute the debt. When I contacted the agency on XX/XX/XXXX, I was informed that there was a judgement against me. I had no knowledge of this prior, and was never provided paperwork. XXXX XXXX, the representative I spoke with, claims that I was served by proxy with the papers given to someone I was close with. I reached out to this person and they have no recollection of this. Further, the company never mailed out any other documentation to me. Literally the notice I received in the mail on XX/XX/XXXX was the only piece of mail received from the debt collector, and it does not state anything about my rights at all.
