I was alerted in XXXX by Best Buy XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX that there was possible fraud on my account. I immediately called and verified that the XXXX transactions performed on XX/XX/XXXX were not made by me and that I was in possession of my card. The agent immediately closed my card and issued a new one. On XX/XX/XXXX the XXXX charges were reversed. A few weeks later I received and activated my new card. The next communication was that I had received a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX that they were still investigating. There was no further communication until I checked my most recent statement on XX/XX/XXXX. All XXXX charges were added back to my account. I called the number on the XX/XX/XXXX letter and the agent I spoke to said the charges were determined to be mine based on the charge back information I received. She walked me through a series of questions and told me that she would escalate the issue to be looked at again and to disregard the package that was recently mailed to me with the details. I am to expect the charges to be credited to my account in XXXX - XXXX business days. Here are my concerns : XXXX ) this was fraud so why did they add back the charges? XXXX ) I received the package today with XXXX pages. It has the name address and phone number of the XXXX people that used my card along with much more detail. Even though it's a fraud situation I would believe this might also be a privacy issue for an information breach. Please feel free to contact me if you need to.
