My loan/servicing was recently purchased by Rocket Mortgage. I set up my account with their online servicing over the phone with them and had to get my escrow accounts corrected. When I mentioned dropping mortgage insurance, they tried to push me into refinancing, even though I told them no. This was taken care of and there was no reason for them to contact me again in reference to the new servicing. They continually call me to go over my account which I already have done, in an attempt to get me to refinance my loan. They have provided miss-information about refinancing and what they could do. They continue to call and are harassing me even after I've told them I do not want to discuss any type of refinance or review of my loan, since I went through the process with them already. I'm a licensed loan originator and I work on loans every day. I know the process for removing mortgage insurance and shouldn't be told I should refinance. I told them I was not interested in refinancing or looking at any additional loan options. I allowed them to give me a sales pitch and the information they were implying was incorrect, I assume because they have inexperienced employees pushed by managers to badger clients into agreeing to speak with one of their loan officers. It is wrong for a company to buy a bunch of loans so that they can legally call and harass the borrowers, and mislead them just so Rocket Mortgage can profit by miss leading people into refinancing their current mortgage.
