I previously submitted a complaint regarding my citibank XXXX charge. I was contesting a charge in the amount of {$360.00}. Citibank refuses to issue a determination based upon the facts submitted. I received a letter indicating that initially I disputed the charge as " not as described ''. Citibank requested additional information, which I provided. However, Citibank claims that the additional information I provided indicated that the charge was " unauthorized '' versus " not as described ''. So, as a result, Citibank refused to make a determination based upon the merits of my dispute, but rather denied my claim because, essentially, I " checked the wrong box ''. I am attaching my response to Citibank 's letter. I am also attaching a listing of dispute categories provided by Citibank 's online dispute center ; please note that the choices are preceded by the statement " Pick the one that fits best ''. Therefore, Citibank itself is acknowledging that their dispute categories may not exactly correspond, yet I am being penalized and not being given a decision because I picked the wrong category.
