I have a checking account that I share with my fiance in both our names and he has an account that is just in his name. On XXXX XX/XX/2022 we received 3 {$2.00} checks from a XXXX XXXX settlement. They were in the names of my children. We took pictures of the checks and deposited them into the account that was in my fiancs name. I was supposed to receive my unemployment check direct deposited into the account I share with my fianc on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. It never came. When it wasnt in the account the next day, I called chase to find out why. They said both of our accounts were frozen because of those 2. {$2.00} checks. They were 3rd party. After explaining that they were my children, they said that we had to bring their social security cards and birth certificates into the branch and they would have to fax them in. We did that the same day. As of today, our accounts are still frozen. Nobody seems to be able to help us. They say the branch never faxed the documents over and the branch says they did. I still cant use either account and unemployment says my check was rejected and sent back to them so I still havent received my money. We are suffering a lot because of all this and nobody wants to help. All this because of a total of {$8.00} worth of checks.
