I was able to come up with some money to pay off my some debt due to losing a family member during the pandemic. I paid off my chase card in full before the due date. I was still charged interest. I called : My first call I was disconnected on as the worker picked up the phone acted as if they couldn't hear me then disconnected. Call two called in and got customer service, explained that I payed the card off in full before the due date and requested the fees to be waived. The agent refused. I asked for a supervisor he then transferred me to tech support. After explaining to tech support, he advised I was transferred to the wrong department and transferred me back to the credit card department. I then got to XXXX who was kind but again after explaining everything refused to waive the fees. I have paid thousands in interest. I have not had a fee waived close to 10 years. I've been with them for that long. The statement is deceptive in its wording and is a UDAP violation. The fees should be credited. It's insane I've had to go through all this to get {$170.00} in fees credited when I've paid {$300.00} in interest for the last several years. This is terrible service.
