I noticed a hard pull on my credit report showing on XXXX " only '' that was done on XX/XX/2021. It shows JPMCB-XXXX XXXX. This was not me applying for new credit. Ironically, I already have a card with JP morgan chase and have more than enough available credit on that card. I spoke to JP Morgan XXXX XXXX ( both the fraud department and new credit applications department ) and was told someone applied for new credit on XX/XX/2021 and it was determined to be fraudulent. New credit was denied. They also said they have sent notifications to the credit bureaus stating this was fraudulent and it should have been removed. As it doesn't show on other credit bureau reports, this would appear to be the case ( currently staring at the XXXX report ). I now have fraud alerts with all credit bureaus in case this happens again. I have spoken to XXXX and was told they have not received information from JP Morgan card services. I also disputed this hard pull with XXXX which did not solve the problem. XXXX continues to state they haven't received the fraud info from JP morgan and JP morgan says they sent out the info. Somebody is not telling the truth here and I just want this resolved and removed from my credit report. One hard pull would normally not be a huge deal. However, I'm currently trying to refinance my home. A new application for credit when you are trying to refinance a house is a big red flag to mortgage companies. I need this fixed ASAP.
