XX/XX/2022 : A lender named Goldman Sachs made a hard credit inquiry without my authorization. I had contacted a lender ( XXXX XXXX ) about a potential consolidation loan and the person on the telephone made a soft credit inquiry and then showed XXXX potential loan offers. He told me to click a button on my computer screen for Goldman Sachs and then told me that Goldman Sachs would contact me about a loan offer on Monday ( today ). I then received an email from XXXX indicating that a hard credit inquiry had been made to XXXX for my credit report. The whole process was deceiving and done to make me select a loan offer without explicitly asking me to authorize the access to my credit report.
