I was the victim of fraud by a company named XXXX XXXX who misrepresented their products and failed to provide me with a receipt. XXXX refused to let me not accept shipment of their products and charged me {$4900.00} on XX/XX/21. I had contacted XXXX XXXXXXXX on XX/XX/21 and they returned the box to XXXX that had been dropped off for shipping. XXXX then proceeded to send another box for shipment. This purchase occurred at a Trade show in XXXX XXXX. In talking with the Trade Show Sponsor, XXXX, I also learned that this company had misrepresented themselves as to the products they were representing at the show. They had tole the show sponsor that they would be displaying outdoor products at their booth, not cosmetics. I contacted Citibank Creditcards and filed a dispute. Initially, Citibank reversed the charge. I also contacted my attorney about the transaction and he explained that this is a common scam and it is fraud. I wrote Citi to provide them additional information regarding the transaction. The bank decided to side with the merchant saying that the merchant would not cooperate and the charge was returned to my account in XXXX. I have, subsequently, had my care re-issued in order to avoid and future potential charges by this company.
