A rather unique situation occurred on XX/XX/2020. My brother in law used my desk top to apply for a credit card with US Bank. My information auto populated and he submitted the application. I wrote US bank informing them the application was submitted in error and to remove the inquiry from my credit report. US bank responded that they would not remove and if I believe my identity was taken to contact their fraud department. I responded with the letters enclosed with a signed statement from my brother in law that he made an error and proof that he has a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. And again, to please remove the inquiry.
