For nearly a year, my mortgage servicing company has been holding funds paid through them for repairs to my home pursuant to an active claim with my homeowners insurance company. Needed repairs to my home have remained incomplete for more than a year because they have failed to respond to my repeated calls with requests that they engage with my insurance company to resolve the conflict between their protocol for releasing funds, and the insurance company 's protocol for advancing payments for my contractor 's incremental project bids for repairs. I have been reaching out to management in the mortgage company 's " Loss Draft '' department for more than two months now to attempt to engage with the proper authority, but to date have not received any response whatsoever. My insurance company has also attempted to engage with the mortgage company on my behalf also, but have been unsuccessful also. I am appealing to the CFPB as a last resort to enlist your assistance with getting them to give my situation the attention it deserves given how long things have languished.
