My wife and I opened a joint account at Chase in XX/XX/2021. We did this in person at a branch. We brought all the required identity documents and extras just in case. All of our information was verified, and after over an hour, the account was opened. A couple of weeks later, I went to pay my credit card bill, and find out that my account was locked. Chase seemed to think there was something fraudulent going on with my account. It took multiple calls and several hours on the phone to resolve this. The obviously outsourced customer service seemed to have no clue what they were doing, and kept transferring me to different people, or telling me I needed to go into a branch. After several tries, the issue was finally resolved, or so I thought. My wife 's account was similarly locked, and we can not get any help. We spent half the day on hold, talked to several agents, and while on hold for yet another agent, the call went completely silent. We are completely fed up. We both need to be able to access our accounts, and we do not think it is too much to ask to be able to contact support when needed. Having overseas reps that can barely speak English and can't understand the issue or how to resolve it is XXXX. I have never had problems like this over many years of being a Chase credit card holder, so I assumed their consumer banking division would be run about as well, too. I was clearly wrong.
