Consumer Narrative
Rooting out unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices by writing rules, supervising companies, and enforcing the law. Enforcing laws that outlaw discrimination in consumer finance. My complaint of retaliation and discrimination, and deceitful, unfair and abusive practices keeps getting stated that it is the same complaint. It is illegal for a company to retaliate for filing a complaint, but Citibank has done just that. I have filed a complaint with the Ombudsman to ensure that conspiracy to rob me of my rights is not taking place. Citibank lied and stated that I did not pay them in XXXX XXXX XXXX. I submitted proof that they were paid the minimum amount on XX/XX/2021. My payment is due on the XXXX if each month. I am resubmitting proof. They also reported a high balance. As soon as I filed this first complaint to the CFPB, a day later Citi retaliated by reporting me late to all three FCRAs, this dropped my score XXXX points ; although their policy does not permit reporting of a consumer until after 60 days of non-payment- which would be XX/XX/2021. As a result of the discrimination and retaliation, I filed a new complaint with the CFPB, and the negative reporting was immediately removed. My score went back up to the original score the next day-XXXXback to XXXX points higher. On today XX/XX/2021, due to the fact the the CFPB threw out my retaliation and discrimination complaints regarding Citi inequitable application of polices, and paid multiple payments since then, Citi has AGAIN abused thier power and retaliated by reported me late ; although I have never reached a 60 day late status and my balance is much lower-almost {$1000.00} lower. I have filed an Ombudsmen report as Citi is being allowed to discriminate freely by claiming their retaliatory and discriminatory actions are, repeat, complaints. This is an abuse of the system put in place by the Obama administration to protect XXXX women, and other minority groups that are abused by these large corporations. Is retaliation not protected in this space as it is in other governmental sectors? Please advise.
