I bought my daughter a XXXX gift card for my daughters birthday on XX/XX/XXXX. Immediately there were fraud charges on the card. We called XXXX customer service on XX/XX/XXXX to make a dispute for the fraud charges. We were told it would take 7-10 business days to get the replacement card and could take up to 15-20 days for the claim to be resolved. I received an email on XX/XX/XXXX confirming the case and charges being disputed and that the card and credit would be mailed out. Then another email on XX/XX/XXXX closing the case and refunding the money. We waited until XX/XX/XXXX, still no card. This time when we call Visa Customer service were told that the cards can take 15-21 business days to come in the mail and the card was mailed in XX/XX/XXXX. This wasnt told to us the 1st time when we made the claim, they said 7-10 business days. I asked what options do they have to replace the card and overnight one or to get a virtual XXXX since it has been so long and the card hasnt arrived. I was told there isnt anything that can be done and because of COVID this time frame is normal. But we were told 7-10 days the 1st time we called. I asked what compensation could be offered or any refunds on the cost to activate the card and was told there is nothing else that can be done. This is very inconvenient to wait a whole month to get a replacement card. I then asked if the card doesnt come by XX/XX/XXXX ( when they said it should arrive ) what happens then. The rep said they could reach out to XXXX to find out what happened to the card? As to say there is a tracking number or something. Still not offering the option to overnight the card or email a virtual card. I dont recommend using the XXXX gift cards to anyone with limited finances as they will leave you waiting with no options.
