I got a credit card from Lowe 's ( XXXX CA ) to avail of the 6 months interest free program. I received my first statement ( XXXX ) through the mail and immedidately sent payment for almost 10 times more than the minimum amount required ( {$420.00} vs {$44.00} ) by mail. However, due to XXXX issues causing delays in the post office, I assume that the company received the payment later than the required due date. Also, unbeknownst to me, they changed my statements electronically from the paper statements that I was expecting to receive on a monthly basis. I called the company to correct this error since I never received the second statement ( XXXX ). Afterwards, I immediately sent the second payment for {$420.00} to cover the amount for the second statement, which I assume is also {$44.00}. Upon receipt of the third statement ( XXXX ) by mail, I noticed that the balance owed was more than the amount I expected to still owe the company. It turns out that they charged me {$29.00} late fee for XXXX and {$40.00} late fee for XXXX including {$0.00} for interest fee. I called the company to dispute the fees and they agreed to refund me the {$40.00}. However, the other fees are still enforced. I just want to report that the business practices of this company regarding the fees are unconscionable.
