The scammer emailed me asking for payment. It seemed legit because they were doing work for us. ( See below ) We wired money on XX/XX/2021 in the amount {$10000.00} to an account at Chase XXXX. Then they emailed saying the money would be refunded and for us to keep checking our account. They said the reason the money would be refunded was because they gave us a wrong number in the first account and then sent another account number to wire the money once we receive the refund. The actual company finally answered their phone and contacted us asking for payment and we sent them the copy of the wire transfer and thats when they responded and stated that the account number we wire the money to was not their account. We have contacted our bank and they can not do anything we have contacted Chase to let them know about this account at their bank and their response is that they can not do anything.
