Re : Continental Finance Company , LLC XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, DE XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX represented by : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - XXXX in XXXX and XXXX, XXXX server Today, XXXX XX/XX/XXXX around XXXX, I received a call from XXXX XXXX, and XXXX left a very harsh XXXX XXXX saying she was a process XXXX and I would need to sign for papers being sent to my house for a civil legal matter and that I have been notified of legal action against me. When I called the XXXX return number she listed, and to reference a File number, I reached XXXX in the XXXX XXXX, however thats not how the phone was answered. She said " Litigation '', no name, no company name, no ID number, etc, and I said I was left a XXXX for a File # ... .. and had no idea or knowledge of what this was in reference too. XXXX confirmed my identity and last XXXX of XXXX, and said that they represent their client XXXX XXXX ( of XXXX XXXX XXXX ), and that a credit card debt in my name has been sent to them to pursue for a civil lawsuit against me for a balance of over $ XXXX of the suit. HOWEVER ... XXXX HAVE NEVER HAD, NOR EVER APPLIED FOR ANY XXXX XXXX OR ANY OTHER CREDIT CARD WITH THAT COMPANY. I kept trying to ask questions to get more information about this " alleged '' credit card debt of mine, that was apparently opened in XXXX, and sent to collections in XXXX, however I have not received any calls, letters, mail, emails etc prior to today regarding this issue. When I asked for proof of documentation, and stated that this debt is not mine and must be fraud, XXXX then proceeded to state that she will notate my dispute and I will be sent a summons to appear in court on a future date, and I could request all the documentation or account info at that discovery hearing, and then said Good luck to you and hung up on me while I was still talking. I immediately called back, got her back on the phone and stated that she abruptly hung up on me when I was trying to gather any info about this " alleged '' account/lawsuit that I've been threatened with, without being given any additional info.
